Nick and i stayed up extremely late last night wrapping presents cleaning and finishing up the baking. I tried to do sugar cookie cut outs but the dough was extremely sticky so after trying for 30 minutes i decided just to roll little balls. Every time i tried to cut a cookie out it stuck to the wax paper and my fingers. They were still good but not cute little Christmas shapes as i had hoped for. I could of most likely just added more flour but i was so exhausted i just figured less work would be the best for right then. Not to mention after finishing those still had laundry and presents to wrap. I didnt even cook the whole batch only half but i plan to finish the other half on Sunday. Since i wont be sleep deprived I'll add some flour into the batch and hopefully be able to cut them out without any problems. I just love the holidays spending time with family cooking shopping....its the perfect combination. NIck and I wrapped the presents together it was really sweet we stayed up till 2am and we didnt even wrap them all. Still have a few huge presents to wrap, i havent even started shopping for nick yet and the boys got spoiled but im sure we'll still end up buying them a few more presents.
THis morning we were suppose to clean out the boys closets and hide their presents so they couldnt unwrap them or pull the bows off. YEah well we forgot and before we new it they both went in the room and pulled off most the bows before getting caught. Of course i punished them told them no and shut the door. But not even minutes later they were both back in the room pulling more bows off and some ribbon to...Those little rug rats never give us a break but you gotta love em!
Today was a sad but happy day, we went to a great friends funeral and said our goodbyes. Neil Weaver was a wonderful friend brother son lover an all around wonderful person with a huge heart. Nick and Neil are for real...THat was their slogan! Nicks known Neil for seven years and to Nick he is his brother. Even though these last couple years we hadn't seen him much he still was held close to our hearts. HAving to say goodbye wasnt easy but im at peace knowing he is in a better place with all our fallen angels. Im happy to say i was lucky to have known him and will never forget him. THe boys met Neil for the first time about a month ago....babies woke him up with huge smiles on their faces. WE are grateful he was able to meet them, the boys right away were comfortable around him and wanted his undivided attention. We love you Neil rest in peace our friend. I've decided to dedicate day 5 of my December Daily to Neil!!!!!!
