9th Day in Oregon

TOday we finally went to Ripley's Believe it or Not and Wax Works. It was alot of fun taking the boys there and it brought back so many memories from my childhood. My dad and grandparents used to take my brother and I so many times a year and we absolutely loved it. It's our last day in Newport so my dad let my little sister Kari Lee skip school so she could spend the hole day with us. Plus by the time she usually gets out of school everything is closed, which is why we had to wait till our last day to here to go! But we were rushing to get there before it closed because Nick and my dad went kayaking down the river again to fish! They left early this morning and didn't make it back till 2:30pm. I got a little worried thinking they were stuck or something, but they were just enjoying them selves. Nick caught a fish but it broke the line and then they didn't end up catching anymore. When they got back i was like "what the heck i thought you wanted to go into town?" He was like "what time is it?" He had no idea it was already 2:30pm so we were rushing to make it into town because both places close at 4pm. We got there at about 3pm and it was a lot of fun walking through. We took tons of pictures and video taped most of it. Afterwards we walked on the docks for a few minutes and then headed back to my brother's. For the rest of the day we just all hang out together visiting and trying not to think about tomorrow! I'm so sad we have to leave, I am going to miss my family so so so so much!!!!! I hate saying good bye so I'll say see yah later instead! The hardest part about leaving is not knowing when i'll see them all again!

I ended up being in the hospital till two in the morning with Brody and Alyssa. The burn that Brody got on tuesday looked a little worse then it had the night before. The tape on his poor skin left almost like a rash all around the burn. I thought maybe he was having an allergic reaction to it, so I took him in to the emergency room at about 10pm. The drive there was roughly 20 minutes but it felt like it took forever. My poor little guy was so tired he slept through everything except his vitals being taken.... He doesnt seem to like the hospital much, so I felt really bad I had to take him. We ended up being there till fifteen after 2am.... The doctor said it wasn't infected but I needed to use polysporin instead of neosporin. I had read on the back and had been told it is good to use for burns but come to find out it can cause an infection. So Im glad I took him in before it got any worse! ANd what was extremely weird was the doctor gave him liquid Hydro. 7 5 for pain! I couldnt believe it but he said to give it to him 30 minutes before i changed the bandage because that is a serious pain. He also gave me packets of polysporin & breathable tape so i didnt have to stop at the store! IT was it long night but im so glad my baby is ok and sleeping like an angel! :)

8th Day in Oregon

Today my Grandpa Bill and Grandma Lloidian came out to my brothers to visit with us. They didnt end up staying for to long but it was a good visit. They drove all the way from Seaside Oregon to see us, a long 3 hour drive! When they got here i dont think they realized how muddy it is out this way. I felt bad because i should of warned them yesterday when i spoke to my Grandma on the phone but neither of them were to worried about it when they got here. We had a wonderful visit with them and I'm very happy they got to meet Ashton, Brody, & Nick.

Dad, Alyssa, Ryan & Nick all went fishing down at the river right outside Ryan's house. Alyssa and Nick both had one on first cast but neither of them ended up catching a fish or any of them for that matter. THey had fun fishing but we all bummed about not catching anything. Nick and My dad are gonna go out early tomorrow on the kayak and try again.



The boys are so obsessed with the dirt bike and four wheeler. They keep saying "vroom vroom" over and over. They also repeat "uncle Ryan" but they are way to cute for their own good! Alyssa my brothers wifey took the boys four wheeler several times through out the day. THe last time she had them both on together with a rope tied around all three of them. Anyways when she got back a while later they were both passed out!!!! It was the cutest thing i think I've ever seen, Nick and I were both laughing hysterically. We attempted to untie them and carry the boys inside to lay them down. But of course they both woke up and refused to lay down. Later on the boys were still say "vroom vroom" and pointing at the dirt bike. It was like we couldn't get them to stop wanting to ride more and more. So Ryan decided to take each of them on a dirt bike ride for their first time. I was so nervous but i knew my brother would be safe with them. We tied Ashton up with him first they road around for a few minutes, Ashton loved every second of it. He didnt want to at all get off and threw a little fit when he had to give his brother a turn. Brody got on and road like a champ. Neither one of them were at all scared, they new they were in safe hands. THey were both born to ride and although i'll worry about them breaking bones and have to let them be boys! Its hard to except my babies aren't babies anymore and soon they'll have their own toys to ride. I see them having so many interests in life and exploring every possibility they would like to! THis has been an amazing vacation and I'm so grateful for my loving family.

7th Day in Oregon

Today we took the boys to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and it brought back so many old memories of my childhood. I dont even remember how many times i used to go as a kid but ive been there many. The boys really enjoyed them selves and had a blast looking at all the different types of sea life. I think what they enjoyed the most was looking at the seals numerous times the seals would rub up a guest the window where the boys were standing...AShton and Brody were having so much fun and definitely didnt want to leave. We ended up staying their for well over 3 hours and by the time we left the aquarium was about closed. I have to say i had a wonderful time and we enjoyed every minute of our adventure at the Oregon Coast Aquarium!

6th Day in Oregon

Today the boys got up ate breakfast and immediately went mud bogging on the four wheeler with Grandpa Kelly! THey had so much fun taking turns when Brody got done riding he was covered from head to toe. SO instead of dirtying up all Ashton's clothes to we just put Brody's jacket and shoes on Ashton. Everyday i swear I'm doing at least 3 loads a laundry or more. When you go on a vacation you think to yourself your free of any responsibilities, well at least i did for a second. But you aren't they tend to follow you where ever you go!!! Later in the afternoon my dad and Nick went kayaking down the river, then we were headed to Ripleys Believe or Not and Wax Works. When they got back from having fun being boys we headed to town. We had no idea that both places we were headed to were already closed. SO after finding that out we decided to go get a bite to eat then head back to the house to watch a movie together as a family. THe boys wouldnt sit still at the restaurant so we had to eat as quickly as possible before they both through fits. Although we had planned to do much more today it was still a very good day and i enjoyed myself. The boys love it out here and I dont think either of them will be very happy when it's time to say our goodbyes!

5th Day in Oregon

Today we decided to go to the beach to fly kites and touch the ocean water. It was alot of fun Nick flew a kite for his first time and didnt do to bad. And i flew a kite for my first time in at least 9 years and at first i thought for sure i couldnt do it but i actually didnt do to bad! We missed out on my brother busting his butt though he flew the kite and road the sand board at the same time but ended up falling or crashing one or the other. THE boys got to touch ocean water for their first time and they seemed to really enjoy being at the beach. THe boys, Nick and I all walked in the water but then a huge wave came in and soaked all four of us. Of course the water was way cold and both the boys kinda were upset bout getting wet. SOmething we didnt expect was gonna happen...... But they were troopers and didnt complain much after about 5 minutes. We stayed at the beach for a little while but it was a bit windy and chilly outside. After our adventure at the beach we decided to come back to the house to eat some pizza and relax for the rest of the night. When we put the boys in the car and took their books off their were all full of water. Poor little guys toes were cold and wet!!!!! The rest of the night was very relaxing we all just hung out and visited. Then after most of us went to sleep the big boys meaning dad, Nick and Ryan all stayed up way late drinking and bonding.

4th Day in Oregon

The 4th day in Oregon we were finally at the Coast...Nick went riding on the sand board and ate shit, he got pulled behind the four wheeler and wreck two times.. I got it all caught on camera and it was pretty hilarious. He also went four wheeling and ended up getting stuck pretty bad. After him being gone about 30 minutes my dad, brother and I all went out looking for him. By the time we found him he was unstuck but muddy as heck from head to toe. It was pretty funny, he's having a blast out here getting dirty. The boys road on the four wheeler some more having a good ole time getting dirty. After we got all done playing in the dirt Nick and I decided to go drive around Newport. It was such a gorgeous day out so we drove down by the bay took some pictures and enjoyed the sun! The hole ride the boys slept so we just kept on driving.

After we got back to my brothers we relaxed and hung out by the fire. A couple hours into the night a hot coal got stuck in Brody's jacket and burnt him pretty bad. So i immediately took the boys inside for the rest of the night. My dad felt bad about the burn but it was no ones fault sometimes things just happen that you dont expect will. Right away the burn was pretty bad and i new tomorrow it would only be worse. So we ended are night and just stayed inside for the rest of it.

Brody slept with his Auntie on the floor and Ashton slept with his daddy on the coach! MOmmy got to sleep all alone and it was a good nights rest for the first time all week!

3rd Day in Oregon

OUr third day we drove out the to Newport. Last night we stayed in a hotel because it was alot more comfortable then feeling cramped at my Aunt's. Before we leave we drove to my Aunt's to shower and visit with my cousin Justin who didn't make it to the party the night before. On our way to her house Brody threw up everywhere and yes i do mean everywhere. His car seat was full of puke his clothes covered my purse had puke on it as well as the diaper bag. It was a nasty mess but thank god we were only a road away from my Aunts. I was gonna take apart the hole car seat and throw the cover in the washer but instead Grandma cleaned it for me! What a sweet heart, a little extra help sometimes is so nice!!!!! After we all got showered my cousin showed up and we visiting for a little while. They couldnt stay long because they had a bday party to go to but it was a nice visit. I hate being so far away from all my family but someday hopefully we'll be closer. After they left we also got ready to take off headed to Woodburn for a little shopping then to a casino arcade to meet up with Nick's sister in law Tiffany, his Niece Teegan and nephew Cameron. We havent meant Teegan yet, it was so nice to finally see them and meet the newest addition to the family. IT was just our luck that we all went on a vacation to Oregon on the same day except Nick's brother wasnt able to get time off work to be their as well. They were on the way to Newport so after shopping we stopped to visit with them. At first Cameron was really shy but it didnt take him long to warm up. We werent able to stay for to long because by this time it was already getting pretty late and we still had a while to go before getting to my brothers in Siletz but we were just glad to see them. We plan to go back and visit for longer later in the week! We ended up getting to Ryan's at about 9pm, shortly after we got there the boys both road of the four wheeler for their first time with grandpa.... AND OF COURSE THEY LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!
